Geology Club
Meetings in Discovery Hall, Room 114 on Fridays at 3pm
The Geology Club is an official CWU organization composed of undergraduate and graduate students of CWU. The club conducts a variety of activities throughout the school year. Some examples include trips to a serpentine mine, weekend club hikes around the Ellensburg area, community service events, rock hounding trips and taking part in CWU sponsored activities. The club also conducts in-doors activities such as movie nights, game nights, trivia night and club study/homework sessions.
The club also hosts fundraising events so members can attend a various of earth science conferences throughout the Pacific Northwest. These conferences provide college students with important networking opportunities and extremely beneficial for students looking to connect their education with the professional world and employment opportunities.
The Geology Club welcomes all students, no matter the major, to attend meetings and get involved! With attending meetings, you can meet people with the same interests, hobbies, ambitions and get experience from experienced students of CWU. If you’re interested, but have some questions, feel free to email one of the club officers!
