Turn your certifications and training into college credit

If you’ve completed professional certifications, licenses, or employer-based training, you may already have college-level knowledge. Academic Credit for Prior Learning can help you apply that experience toward your degree.

How It Works

Many industry certifications and training programs are evaluated to determine how they align with college courses.

In some cases, credit may already be pre-approved. In others, your training may be reviewed through the portfolio process to determine eligibility.

What May Qualify

You may be able to receive credit for:

  • Industry-recognized certifications
  • Professional licenses
  • Employer or workforce training programs
  • Technical or specialized training

Things to Keep in Mind

  • Not all certifications or training qualify for credit
  • Credit is awarded based on how your training aligns with course outcomes
  • Some limits may apply depending on your program
  • Review or transcription fees apply

What to Do Next

We can help you understand how your training may apply.

Connecting with an advisor can help you:

  • Identify which certifications or training may qualify
  • Understand how credit applies to your program
  • Determine next steps
